Houston Independent School District officials are monitoring weather conditions and responding accordingly.
HISD will not cancel after-school events. Individual schools will make decisions based on what is best for the campus.
The HISD bus fleet will operate based on its regular dismissal scheduled. However, high water on roads and traffic has the potential to delay bus arrivals to drop-off locations.
The school district is asking parents and guardians to be patient as bus drivers choose the safest course to get children home.
