Officials with the Houston ISD have announced that all district schools will not dismiss early today.
Due to the expected inclement weather, all district schools and offices will be closed on Friday, Feb. 4.
All athletic events and trips, after school activities and field trips scheduled today and Friday have been cancelled.
“Parents should be aware that HISD staff will work to load buses quickly today in order to deliver children to their homes on time,” according to a statement released by HISD Media Relations.
HISD schools, along with other power company customers, experienced controlled power outages ordered statewide in order to conserve power. The rolling outages could potentially continue today.
