Holiday Magic In Rice Village Features Performances From Local Schools

Holiday Magic in Rice Village will take place from noon-8 p.m. Dec. 4, with entertainment from 4-8 p.m.

 

Activities include a car seat demonstration, the Rice Owl Cheerleaders, Houston Police Department fingerprinting, face painting, Native American singers, HPD’s helicopter, canine unit and mounted horses, snow, horse drawn carriages, balloon animals and reindeer.

 

Photos with Santa will be available from 4-8 p.m. near Jason’s Deli in the 2500 block of University. Donations of a new or gently used toy for the Holiday Toy Drive benefiting The Children’s Assessment Center will be accepted.

 

Main stage performances, in front of Learning Express and Nest & Cot in the 2400 block of Rice, include:

 

  • 4 p.m. – Poe Elementary School string, choir and dance group
  • 4:30 p.m. – St. Vincent DePaul school choir
  • 5 p.m. – Pershing Middle School Dancers
  •  5:30 p.m. – City Dance Group
  •  6 p.m. – Pershing Middle School Band
  •  6:30 p.m. – Christmas tree lighting
  •  7 p.m. – Pershing Middle School Choir
  •  7:30 p.m. – Hans Stockenberger & The Caro Voce Group
