The Horn Academy Parent Teacher Organization recently announced it raised nearly $11,000 to fund services, sponsor events, offer scholarships and fund other things that wouldn’t otherwise be available at the elementary school.
The Sounds of Success fundraiser, the PTO’s primary fundraising method, raised $10,716 in contributions from over 50 donors throughout the year.
In addition to recurring PTO-funded items like teacher scholarships and reimbursements for classroom items, this past year the organization appreciated teachers with monthly luncheons and Holiday gifts, and provided incentive programs for kids for reducing tardies, having perfect attendance, encouraging reading and more.
The PTO asks parents and the community to continue making donations so the organization can do more for Horn students and teachers.
