Houston ISD is expecting all classes to run normally today, with no closures or delays announced.
Following yesterday’s sleet and freezing rain, the district had announced transportation and police personnel would begin checking roads and school routes at 3 a.m. to ensure road conditions were safe.
Despite frigid overnight temperatures, roads throughout the Bellaire area are dry, with no icing problems reported. As a result, all campuses and bus routes will be operating on a regular schedule.
Wednesday evening after-school activities were cancelled after yesterday’s winter blast raised concerns about the potential for icy road conditions.
