Houston Police Looking For Suspect In Chevron Gas Station Killing

Houston Police are looking for this suspect who shot and killed a 24-year-old Spring resident on Thursday.

A 24-year-old Spring resident was shot and killed at a gas station near Bellaire and Meyerland on Thursday, when he tried to assist a woman who was being robbed.

According to local reports, the suspect came into the Chevron Gas Station, 4680 Beechnut, around 12:15 a.m. with a pistol and tried stealing a purse from a woman who was at the service window.

Samuel Irick, who was in line behind the woman, was shot fatally in the chest when he tried to intervene.

The suspect fled from the gas station after shooting Irick in the chest.

Houston Police Department has released surveillance photos of the suspect.
