Houston Zoo Celebrates Halloween With ‘Zoo Boo’

The Aldine ISD Dance Company students shows Zoo guests how to do the Thriller Dance.
The Houston Zoo is celebrating Halloween with “Zoo Boo,” Oct. 22-31.
Some of the activities include picking a “child-sized” pumpkin to paint and decorate from the Fiesta Mart Pumpkin Patch; contributing to the Monster Mural and visiting the Gardere Wynne Sewell Tatzoo Parlor.
All Zoo Boo activities are included with paid Zoo admission. Zoo Boo is free for Zoo Members.
Activities include:
Friday, Oct. 22, 29: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
• Fiesta Mart Pumpkin Patch
• Monster Mural
• Halloween-themed Meet the Keeper Talks
• Gardere Wynne Sewell Tatzoo Parlor
• Pirate’s Cove (Children’s Zoo)
• Animal-Themed Trunk-or-Treat candy stations
Saturday, Oct. 23, 24, 30, 31: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
• “Thriller” Dance Party with Aldine Dance Co. 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
• Costume Parade 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.
• Children’s DJ
• Fiesta Mart Pumpkin Patch
• Monster Mural
• Halloween-themed Meet the Keeper Talks
• Gardere Wynne Sewell Tatzoo Parlor
• Pirate’s Cove (Children’s Zoo)
• Animal-Themed Trunk-or-Treat candy stations
