The Hurricanes defeated the Pearland Pumas 17-16 in the 7U West U Summer Slam Championship game on Aug. 14.
The Hurricanes, a team made up of WULL and BLL team members, were the underdogs going into the tournament Saturday night and had to win back to back games to win the Championship.
The Hurricanes played their first game against the Sweeney Outlaws and defeated them 15-0.
The Hurricanes have a 12 member team of 7 and 6 year olds. They are managed by Charles May and coached by Luke Mandola, Martin Reichek and Frank Monacelli.
