Iron Chef Cat Cora will be demonstrating recipes from her new cookbook at Central Market, 3815 Westheimer, on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
Her new cookbook, “Cooking With a Twist,” features recipes that have been re-imagined in new ways to shorten preparation time. Her presentation will focus on how she simplified, spiced up and streamlined 100 recipes featured in her cookbook.
Cora made television history when she became the first female Iron Chef winner in 2005. She is the president and founder of Chefs for Humanity, which raises money for hunger-related causes, and she recently launched the restaurants CCQ at Macy’s in Costa Mesa, California and Kouzzina at Walt Disney World.
Cora will be holding a cooking class at 7 p.m. at Central Market and a book signing will follow from 8 to 9 p.m. The cost of the class is $65 and includes a copy of her new cookbook.
