January 24, 2012 by Bellaire Essentials Staff 3 Comments

I saw The Toxic Avenger at the Alley Theatre over the weekend and learned from the program that one of the actors plays Keith Stone, the mullet-wearing Keystone beer guy in their television ads. We had no idea that he was also into robbing banks. Of course, it’s probably not him, but that wig sure does look familiar.

According to FBI investigators, a “bad wig bandit” shown above entered the Prosperity Bank at 4065 Bellaire Boulevard at approximately 12:20 p.m. Monday, approached a teller, demanded money and lifted his shirt to reveal a pistol.

Instantnews - Once again you have reported a crime as being in Bellaire when the location of the crime is not in Bellaire. You did this just two weeks ago when reporting on the 82yr old Westbury woman that was beat. Please stop alarming Bellaire residents by continually misinforming them that crimes occurring outside Bellaire are of Bellaire residences and businesses.

    Councilman, City of Bellaire

Are you really that dumb? Do you actually think it does Bellaire residents a serivce by keeping them uninformed?

Every news service in Houston (Chronicle, Ch. 11, Ch. 13, etc. ,etc.) covered this same robbery as a “Bellaire robbery.” Do you honestly think Bellaire residents never venture outside the city limits? None of them do business at this bank? Never go to Meyerland?

Any police officer will tell you the best way to avoid becoming a victim is to be informed an aware. Is there an exception for Bellaire residents?

Your comment, Mr. Parker, is ridculous. And it takes the smallest of mentalities to shoot the messenger.

You’re a council member; why not show some good common sense for a change?

    Yes, he is really dumb.
Yes, he thinks that ignorance is bliss.
The good residents never venture out
Bellaire residents are thought to live in utopia.
He shows no common sense because he has none.
