March 10, 2009 by Essentials Staff 2 Comments

With Bob Kelly running unopposed for his second term as Mayor of West U, the six council candidates drew for their placement on the ballot before Monday’s council meetings.

Appearing on the ballot for council positions in the May 9 election are, in order from first to last: Philip Bryant, Brian Hoogendam, Bob Fry, George Boehme, Chuck Guffey and Steven Segal.

Current Councilwoman Phyllis Cohen is ineligible for reelection, and Councilman Michael Talianchich recently resigned citing health issues. Council will not appoint a replacement, and instead wait for the election to fill Talianchich’s seat.
