Lamar FFA Students Prepare Show And Auction

The Lamar High School Future Farmers of America (FFA) students are geared up for an annual Livestock/Horticulture Show and Auction on the front lawn of Lamar High School on April 9 to 10. Judging of student projects will begin at 4:30 p.m. on April 9. The events scheduled on April 10 include a silent auction, bar-b-que dinners and a live auction of animals and plants.

I understand the personal who donated a parcel of land to Lamar High School, Houston, Texas, made a stipulation in his donation that an annual FFA needed to be held every year. Is this true? If so, who donated the land in 1959?
