Christ Purcell Taylor, a local insurance and employee benefits firm, is the Title Sponsor of the 4th Annual Charity Golf Tournament hosted by the Texas Center for the Missing non-profit organization. This non-profit organization is dedicated to offering help to the missing and their families. The annual charity golf tournament will be held today, Oct. 7, at Wildcat Golf Club, and proceeds will directly benefit this effort.
Texas Center for the Missing (formerly known as Gabriel’s Gifts Missing Children’s Organization) is a 501©(3) non-profit. Founded in 2000 by Doreen Wise after the four-month disappearance and tragic loss of her son Gabriel, the organization also administers the Houston Amber Alert System and provides 24-hour support and consulting to law enforcement agencies in the 13 county region in and around Houston. They provide prevention and safety education programs to parents and children to deter child abductions and Internet lures, as well as offer search and rescue resources to law enforcement and the community, Crime Victims’ Compensation advocacy to survivors and their families, as well as case management services.
