Scheduled to open later this month, the new Bellaire police and courts building will host a novel event Thursday morning (Jan. 10) when the bellaire Business Association and Bellaire/Southwest Rotary Club offer “Breakfast in the Bellaire Jail.”

The event will run from 8-9:30 a.m. and includes a tour of the new, state-of-the-art jail built with taxpayer bond funds.

Cost is $35 for members of the organizations and $50 for nonmembers, with proceeds going to fitness equipment for the city’s first responders.
