IW Marks Jewelers marked its 44-year anniversary and closed out the year by unveiling a full makeover at a grand reopening celebration featuring a performance by country music star Clay Walker.

The full-service, family-owned business founded by Diane and Irv Marks and located at 3841 Bellaire Blvd., has grown from an original 500 square-foot store to its current 7,500 square-foot showroom.

The store redesign features sections organized by brand and style for easier browsing of the selections of fine, fashion and custom jewelry, with an emphasis on luxury timepieces. Also included are a bar, private viewing room and several lounges with seating.

“It’s healthy for a business to evaluate every few years,” said Brad Marks, the founders’ son who took over in 2008. “We have made dramatic changes to ensure we remain the top jewelry and timepiece destination in Houston for decades to come, and we are very excited for the future.”
