Man Found Sleeping In Stolen Car At Citgo On S. Rice

A 35-year-old man was found sleeping in a stolen car in the parking lot of the Citgo gas station at 6512 S. Rice around 3:12 a.m. Feb. 17. Police saw Ira Glasco sleeping in a black Ford Taurus in the parking lot, with the lights and the ignition off. The car had been reported stolen out of Harris County. Glasco was arrested and charged with criminal trespass.

A man soliciting business door-to-door was arrested Feb. 17 for giving police a fake name and date of birth. The incident began with a burglary alarm in the 4800 block of Tamarisk. The residence appeared secure, but there was a business card for Maldonado Lawn Car on the front door. The officer looked for a possible solicitor in the area and found 33-year-old Octavio Callejas in the 4800 block of Wedgewood. The officer asked him is he has a permit to solicit, and Callejas said no. When first questioned, Callejas also gave a false name and date of birth and was arrested for failure to identify.

Twenty-seven-year-old Randy Lewis was arrested for class C theft after employees at Rice Discount Liquor, 5108 Bissonnet, called police concerning a shoplifting in progress. The employees told police that the suspect ran out of the store after stealing an item from a shelf. The suspect, Lewis, was located and arrested.

A woman came to the Bellaire police department on Feb. 18 to report that someone stole items from her office in the 6500 block of West Loop South. Police are investigating.

Michael Victoria, 50, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after allegedly attempting to run over his girlfriend with his car, hitting her in the stomach, and pulling her out of a truck by her hair. Bellaire police responded to the call around 8:40 a.m. Feb. 19 in the 5900 block of West Loop South. The victim told police that her boyfriend hit her in the stomach and pulled her out of a truck by her hair. The Houston Police Department heard over the police radio a description of the truck, and stopped Victoria in the 7000 block of Fonvilla. According to reports, the suspect tried to run over is girlfriend before the incident in Bellaire.

The District Attorney’s Office declined charges in the case of a man who told police on Feb. 19 that his ex-wife slapped him in the face.

A resident in the 4900 block of Tamarisk told police on Feb. 19 that an unknown person used her information to make unauthorized purchases.
