| On Sunday, January 18, the annual Chevron Houston Marathon will be coming through the city of West University Place. Homes in West U and Southside Place located along or near the race route may be affected by road closures, announcements from the live band and public announcement booth in front of West U City Hall. The marathon course travels west along University Blvd. from Kirby, turning north on Weslayan to Bissonnet. Traffic will be restricted when the streets close at approximately 6:30 a.m. until the streets reopen at approximately 10:30 a.m. For an entire listing of street closures, go to www.chevronhoustonmarathon.com. |
The West University Place Police Department requests that all vehicles parked on the roadway along the race route be relocated prior to the event.
