Munchies, beer, wine — and a chance tonight to support Bellaire first responders

The Bellaire Business Association and Bellaire/Southwest Rotary Club will hold their fifth annual fundraiser for the Bellaire Police and Fire Foundation from 5-7 tonight (Aug. 22) at Prosperity Bank, 5501 Bissonnet St.

Admission is free and includes food donated by Escalante’s, wine compliments of The ’401 and beer from other local businesses. Attendees will have the chance to bid on a variety of items, services and experiences, with 100 percent of the money going directly to the foundation.

In its five years of existence, the nonprofit foundation has raised more than a half-million dollars and provided Bellaire’s first responders — and residents — with such tools as a high water response vehicle, rescue boats and a mobile digital sign.

To register for or donate to the fundraiser, visit BellaireBiz.org. To learn more about the organization, go to BellairePoliceAndFireFoundation.org.
