Five-time Olympic medal winner and faith-based motivational speaker Josh Davis who will speak on the St. Thomas Episcopal Church and School campus Oct. 21.
In 1996 Davis made history by becoming the only man in any sport from any nation at the Atlanta Olympic Games to win 3 gold medals. Davis returned to the Olympics in Sydney in 2000 where he was elected Captain of the USA Men’s swim Team. He went on to break the American record three times in his event the 200 meter free-style and won two silver medals at the 2000 Sydney Games.
Davis has been involved with the ministry Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Athletes in Action for many years. At The University of Texas, he became president of FCA.
Sponsored by the STE Booster Club and Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Davis will be speaking to the middle and upper school students and addressing parents in the evening in the STE theater.
