Paving Continues On Kirby; Revised Schedule Released For Bellaire Boulevard Construction

The placement of enhanced drainage facilities and paving along Bellaire Boulevard continues its progression into West U. City limits. The revised tentative construction schedule is as follows:

• Weslayan Street from Bellaire Boulevard to Riley Street, October 2008 to January 2009
• Weslayan Street from Riley Street to Marquette Street, January 2009 to March 2009
• Riley Street from Weslayan Street to College Avenue
• College Avenue from Riley Street to University Boulevard

Paving continues on the east side lanes of Kirby Drive between Rice Boulevard and University Boulevard. The east side intersections of Times Boulevard and Amherst Street are currently closed due to construction. The Times Boulevard intersection is expected to reopen on or before Thursday, Oct. 30.
