Pershing Middle School is one of 11 schools named as “Texas Schools to Watch” by the Texas Middle School Association.

Texas Middle School Association Executive Director Cecil Floyd will join HISD Board Member Mike Lunceford and Chief Middle School Officer Dallas Dance to congratulate Principal Robin Lowe and the Pershing community.

Pershing was selected for its academic excellence, responsiveness to the needs and interests of young adolescents, and commitment to helping all students achieve at high levels.

As part of the selection process, representatives from the Texas Middle School Association visited Pershing earlier this year to observe and interview students, parents, teachers, building and district administrators, and support staff members.  They also examined the school’s data and documentation.

Condit and Pershing are reasons our 3 kids have excelled in High School and College. Parents being involved and Teachers working together achieves great results and Condit and Pershing are such great examples. Thank you.
