
Bellaire Police arrested a 41-year-old man on Sept. 7 for driving while intoxicated with a child passenger and fail to stop and give information.
According to reports, Oran Whittington struck two vehicles in the 6800 block of IH 610 northbound and continued onto US HWY 59 without stopping.
Police pulled Whittington over and found him to be driving while intoxicated with his 2-year-old daughter in the vehicle.
He was arrested for the offense and was also arrested for fail to stop and give information.
Whittington’s daughter was released to his mother and Child Protective Services were contacted, police said.
His passenger, Christopher Angel, 24, was arrested for public intoxication.
On Sept. 12, Samantha Villarreal, 22, was arrested for failure to stop and render aid.
According to reports, police responded to a two-car minor accident in the 6700 block of IH 610 northbound.
Villarreal was involved in the accident and left the scene without giving any information, police said.
The driver of the other vehicle was able to give police a license plate number for Villarreal’s vehicle.
Officer’s located Villarreal who admitted to being involved in the accident, police said.
She was arrested for the offense.
