Police Make Arrests For Fake Inspection Stickers, Resident Reports Broken Car Window

Bellaire police made arrests for fictitious inspection stickers on Jan. 10.

Bellaire police arrested a 33-year-old man on Jan. 10 for displaying a fictitious inspection sticker.

According to reports, police pulled a vehicle over in the 4600 block of Laurel for expired registration of 8/10.

During the traffic stop, the officer noticed that the motor vehicle inspection sticker had been altered.

The driver, Gamell Bella, was arrested for the offense.

On Jan. 10, Luis Pineda, 40, was arrested for displaying a fictitious inspection sticker.

Police pulled Pineda over in the 5300 block of Bissonnet for expired registration of 9/10.

During the traffic stop, police noticed the inspection sticker had been altered and Pineda was arrested for the offense.

On Jan. 7, a vehicle was broken into in the 500 block of South Third.

On Jan. 7, a GPS unit was stolen from a vehicle in the 4900 block of Imperial.

On Jan. 14, an unknown person threw a rock through the windshield of a vehicle in the 5200 block of Jessamine.
