Preschoolers To Explore Texas Traditions At The Nature Discovery Center

The Nature Discovery Center will be holding a "Nature Detectives" class in November.
The Nature Discovery Center, 7112 Newcastle, will be teaching preschoolers about traditions of early Texans, during a three week class called Nature Detectives in November.
The classes will be held once a week for one hour and will feature games, crafts, activities and lesson-based snacks.
Some of the activities include making a hoe cake, playing lasso a cow and horseshoes, building an edible log cabin, making corn husk dolls, and leaning about pioneer chores, among other things.
Nature Detectives classes are offered Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday afternoons. Advanced registration is required.
