Randall’s Forgery Suspect Arrested

Timothy Wood, 42, was arrested Feb. 2 and charged with forgery, after a call from the Randall’s grocery store at 5130 Bellaire Blvd. An officer was called to a forgery in progress – police were already looking for a suspect in a previous forgery case at Randall’s. Wood left the store before doing a transaction, and police stopped the car he was riding in. According to reports, Wood ran, and was caught. The driver, Nancy Sutera, 48, was released to the Spring Valley Police Department for outstanding warrants.

Edward Castro, 36, was arrested Feb.2 for felony theft at the Al Ahorro Supermarket at 5859 Bissonnet. Bellaire police were dispatched to the store around 4:48 p.m. The theft had already occurred, and the police were given a description of the suspect and his direction of travel on foot. Castro was arrested about half a block away from the store, and charged with felony theft due to previous convictions.

On Feb. 3, a resident of the 5400 block of Pine reported that an unknown person opened a checking account using her information.

A manager of the Randall’s grocery store at 5130 Bellaire Blvd. reported a shoplifting incident on Feb.3.

On Feb. 3, a resident came to the police station to report that an unknown person forged a deed to sell a lot in the 400 block of Mulberry without the owners consent. Police are investigating.

A resident in the 1100 block of Colonial reported on Feb. 4 that their credit card was used to make an unauthorized purchase.

A new car was reported keyed in a parking garage in the 6500 block of West Loop South on Feb. 4.

A woman who left her debit card in the ATM at the Bank of America at 5133 Bellaire Blvd. told police on Feb. 5 that her card was used in Houston by an unknown person.

Nineteen-year-old Marc Hynson was arrested and charged with robbery on Feb.6 after an employee at the Smoothie King at 5425 Bellaire Blvd. called police. The employee told police that someone walked into the store and demanded money from the register, then left when a customer walked in. The suspect was described, and police found Hynson, matching the description, walking in the 5300 block of Bellaire Blvd. According to reports, Hynson was identified as the suspect by the Smoothie King employee. No money was taken and no one was injured.

A resident told police on Feb. 6 that a man sold her tickets to the Super Bowl and a night stay in Tampa, Florida, for the event, and never gave her the items after she paid. The victim told police she can’t get in touch with the seller. Police are investigating.

An 18-year-old woman, Miranda Lambright, was arrested and charged with Class A criminal mischief around 2 a.m. Feb. 7. Police were called to the Shell Gas Station at 5910 West Loop South, where an employee told police that Lambright, who was still at the Shell, was “irate” because the employee would not let her into the store because she was intoxicated. According to reports, Lambright then punched through a glass pane in the store, breaking it.
