Registration Now Open For Walk MS: Downtown Houston

Houston residents can take part in Walk MS: Downtown Houston on Nov. 14 to raise funds and awareness for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society: Lone Star.
The event will take place at the Downtown Aquarium, 410 Bagby, at 9 a.m. and participants will be able to take part in one mile or 5K walks.
Each registered walker will receive a wristband for unlimited access to rides at the Downtown Aquarium on Nov. 14.
Walk MS: Downtown Houston hopes to raise $115,000 for MS research and programs.
Multiple sclerosis is a disease of the central nervous system that interrupts the flow of information within the brain and between the brain and body. Most people are diagnosed with MS between the ages of 20 and 50.
MS affects more than 400,000 people in the U.S. and over 2.1 million people worldwide.
For those interested in walking, volunteering or donating, visit www.walkmstexas.org. There is no cost to register.
Event day registration will begin at 8 a.m. on Nov. 14, followed by a 9 a.m. start time.
