Reminder: it's runoff day — but check your polling place

May 24, 2016 by Charlotte Aguilar 1 Comment

Bellaire voters have until 7 tonight (Tuesday) to vote in runoffs for a number of runoff contests for Democrats and Republicans. A number of precincts have been consolidated, and parties have different polling locations, so voters are urged to check their location here before heading to the polls.
Republicans will be deciding nominees for railroad commissioner, two judgeships on the Court of Criminal Appeals and the chair of the Harris County Republican Party.
On the Democratic side, runoffs will decide nominees for railroad commissioner, the state board of education, Harris County Sheriff, Precinct 1 Justice of the Peace, and three district judgeships.
If you voted in the March primary, you must choose the same party for the runoff. If you did not vote in the primary, you may cast a runoff ballot in either party.
Sample ballots and polling locations for your precinct are available by visiting www.harrisvotes.org.
