A resident in the 2800 block Wroxton noticed a man enter his neighbor’s garage around 8 p.m. on June 25, and exit the garage carrying tools. The neighbor approached the man, David Lorenza Joyner, and asked him why he was taking the tools. Joyner dropped the tools and ran. The neighbor called police and gave a description of Joyner and a direction of travel.
West U. police arrested Joyner at Edloe Street and Westpark, and brought him back to be identified by the neighbor. Joyner told police he was sweaty and out of breath because he had been working out. Joyner was arrested for burglary.
Police advise residents not to confront a suspected burglar, but to get detailed descriptions of the suspect, the suspect’s clothing and if a vehicle is involved, the description of the vehicle and the license plate number.
