When Rice University sophomore Gabi Chennisi and her friends decided to enter the “Feel Your Boobies” video contest, they sat down and brainstormed about material that lent itself to funny boob touching that wasn’t offensive.
They came up with two video ideas: one where two teenagers are on a date and the male asks his date if he can feel her “boobies” and the other where a woman has to examine herself in order to stop a villain from destroying the world.
The “Feel Your Boobies” video contest is being hosted by the Feel Your Boobies Foundation in honor of National Feel Your Boobies Week, Oct. 8 – Oct. 15. Contestants had to create a lighthearted, 60-second video illustrating how they remind their friends to “feel their boobies.” The winner receives $10,000.
Chennisi, who is double majoring in film and linguistics and is a former West University Place and Southside Place resident, said her and her friends are always looking to submit entries for video contests.
Two weeks ago they started filming their first film for the contest called “Can I …?” Chennisi wrote the script and did the sound. She said the story line was written for 13 year olds, but they used college students as the actor and actress.

On Oct. 8 at 11 p.m., the group started working on its second video for the contest called “Your Boobs Can Save The World.” They worked all night to get it done by the Oct. 10 deadline.
Members of the Rice Improv Society were the actors in the film. Chennisi’s roommate was the female role. The script was written by Adrien Pellerin, a sophomore majoring in film and computer science.
Pellerin said he wanted to make a movie that was funny and bordered on the absurd.
“I knew that that kind of video would be fun to watch, and would really catch people’s attentions,” he said.

Austin Lipinski, a senior majoring in engineering directed the photography for both films.
Once the movies were submitted, Chennisi and her friends started working their social networks to get people to vote for their videos on www.youboob.feelyourboobies.com. They soon made it into the top two spots with their videos.
The winning video is the one that receives the most number of votes and comments.
“We’re all nervous,” Chennisi said. “Two days in we’re doing really well.”

Voting ends Oct. 27 and the winner will be announced on Oct. 29.
WOW! THAT’S FUN!
