Rice University has joined the list of closures due to Hurricane Ike. The university will be closed tomorrow, Sept. 12, through Sunday, Sept. 14.
The Houston Independent School District will be closed tomorrow, Sept. 12, due to approaching Hurricane Ike. All athletic activities and field trips scheduled for today, Sept. 11, have been cancelled as well.
The district announced yesterday the cancellation of all field trips and athletic activities scheduled for tomorrow, Sept. 12, through Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 13 and 14.
The Houston Museum of Natural Science will be closed tomorrow and Saturday, as well.
There will be no curbside collection for garbage or recycling in West U. tomorrow, Sept.12, due to approaching Hurricane Ike.
The RecycleExpress facility will be closed from 7 a.m. Friday, Sept. 12, to 7 a.m. Monday, Sept. 15. City officials say the closure could be shortened or extended depending on the severity of the storm.
The Senior Board meeting scheduled for today, Sept. 11, has been cancelled, as well as the Zoning and Planning Commission meeting.
