October 9, 2009 by Bellaire Essentials Staff Leave a Comment

The Edith L. Moore Nature Sanctuary is calling for volunteers to help with its growing array of nature programs.

The Audubon Docent Guild is offering a free workshop on Saturday to introduce prospective volunteers to the programs, which include sanctuary tours, preschool nature hours, after-school nature camps, nature-themed birthday parties, owl prowls and summer camps.

The workshop runs from 9 a.m. to noon at the historic log cabin at the sanctuary, 440 Wilchester Blvd. Anyone interested in attending must make reservations by contacting 713-464-4900 or docent@houstonaudubon.org. Visit www.houstonaudubon.org to learn more about the many nature programs at the sanctuary.
