Southside Place Police Report 135 Calls For Service In May

The Southside Place monthly police and fire department reports indicate that police responded to 135 calls for service in May, and the fire department responded to six.
Police wrote seven offense reports, made 50 class C arrests, two class B and above arrests, one of which was for aggravated robbery of a business. One car burglary was reported, with no residential or commercial burglaries. Five arrests were made for warrants. The department issued 677 citations and 40 warrants.
The fire department responded to two calls to structure fires in Bellaire, but the report indicated that neither was serious. The department also responded to four false alarms at residences. In the past five months, the department has responded to 22 fire calls. During the same time period in 2007, the department responded to 34.
