State Rep. Sarah Davis (R-West University Place) today filed with the Harris County GOP Chair to seek re-election to House District 134 in the Texas Legislature.
“I have been honored to serve as the representative for Texas House District 134. After a tough session, I am once again seeking the support of the voters to continue to represent their interests at the state capitol,” Davis said. “While I am disappointed that some of my friends have been carved out of District 134 by a federal judge in San Antonio, I am excited to meet the new voters that the district has gained as a result.”
Davis was elected to the Texas House of Representatives in 2010, and serves on the Public Health and Judiciary & Civil Jurisprudence Committees.
“I am committed to running a vigorous campaign, because I believe it is important that District 134 remain represented by a strong fiscal conservative in the Texas House of Representatives,” she said.
Davis is a partner with the national law firm of Lewis Brisbois, Bisgaard & Smith, LLP. After receiving a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Baylor in 1998, she went on to earn her Law Degree from the University of Houston in 2001. Davis and her husband, Kent, live in West U.
Davis represents West University Place, Bellaire, River Oaks, Braeswood Place, Southside Place, portions of Meyerland and Montrose and the Texas Medical Center.
