Pole and fixture installation for Phase II of the West U. Streetlight project is 90 percent complete in the first two sections, which includes Bissonnet Street to Bellaire Boulevard and Buffalo Speedway to Kirby Drive, with the exceptions of Charlotte Lake, Fordham and Annapolis. Streetlight hookups and old pole removal should be complete by the end of the month.
Installation in section three should begin on Jan. 29. Section three includes Bissonnet Street to University Boulevard and Poor Farm Ditch to Buffalo Speedway.
Tree trimming for Phase II and follow-up trimming for Phase I are both expected to begin in the third week of February.
