Ten Cars Broken Into At Pont Alba Apartments

Bellaire police were dispatched to the 4400 block of Bissonnet around 3:35 a.m. Jan. 5 in reference to a robbery of a Yellow Cab driver. Three suspects were located, but the Harris County District Attorney’s Office refused charges, and the suspects were released.

Ten vehicles at the Pont Alba Apartments in the 4300 block of Bissonnet were broken into some time between 11:30 p.m. Dec. 29 and 5:50 a.m. Dec. 30. One vehicle in the 4400 block of Basswood was also broken into. The incidents are under investigation.

Deborah Johnson, 47, was arrested and charged with forgery on Dec. 29 after allegedly attempting to cash a check that did not belong to her at the Bank of Texas at 5320 Bellaire.

Police were dispatched to an assault/family violence call in the 1100 block of Anderson on Jan. 2. The husband was arrested after allegedly hitting his wife in her arm.

Building materials were reported stolen from a construction site in the 100 block of Beverly Lane on Jan. 5.
