Three Car Burglaries Reported

Three burglaries of a motor vehicle were reported by West U. Police for the week of Oct. 5 through Oct. 11.
On Oct. 8 a woman came to the police station and told police her vehicle was broken into sometime during the weekend of Oct. 3, while she was out of town on vacation. No property was taken from the vehicle.
The window of a car in the 3400 block of Bissonnet was shattered and the owner’s briefcase stolen around 2:47 p.m. Oct. 9. On Oct. 11, property was stolen from a car in the 2900 block of Jarrard around 4:18 p.m.
A West U. resident reported on Oct. 9 that someone used the resident’s debit card to make 10 unauthorized charges on the Internet.
Police ended up arresting a man for public intoxication after receiving a report of a possible prowler in the 6500 block of Westchester. Police responded to the call around 1:50 a.m. Oct. 11.
