A balmy evening — with a temperature of 68 — is forecast as Bellaire hosts its first Party at the Pavilion of the season tonight (March 4). The concert starts at 7 p.m. on the Great Lawn at Bellaire Town Square, 7008 S. Rice Ave., featuring the music of Walter Suhr and Mango Punch and food items from the It’s a Wrap truck.

Suhr is an award-winning songwriter and performer, and the group is a six-time winner in the Houston Press Music Awards. Their music ranges from Top 40, swing, disco, R&B and country to salsa, merengue, vallenato, cumbia and more.

The Party at the Pavilion, sponsored by the city of Bellaire Parks & Recreation Department and Patrons for Bellaire Parks, is free and family friendly. Participants are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets, food and beverages — including beer and wine.
