Two Lanier Cross Country Runners Recovering After Being Hit By Car

Two Lanier Middle School cross country runners are still in the hospital after being hit by a car on Monday.
Two Lanier Middle School cross country runners are still in the hospital recovering from injuries, after being hit by a car on Monday.
The two students, whose names are not being released, were running with their coach near the intersection of West Alabama and Mandell when they were hit.
The coach was also injured, but was released from the hospital on Monday night, HISD Media Relations Manager Norm Uhl said.
The students are expected to make a full recovery, Uhl said.

    i go to lanier a bunch of my friends know those kids… stupid irresponsible drivers!!! this is a really sad thing.

    one of the kids who got hurt were one of my good friends. they’ll be ok though.
