
Two male suspects have been sentenced to prison for robbing two different victims at gunpoint on July 26.
Emilio Lux-Barrios pled guilty on March 7 to aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon. He was sentenced to 20 years in prison.
Carlos Jimenez-Perez pled guilty on May 2 to aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon. He was sentenced to 12 years in prison.
Lux-Barrios and Jimenez-Perez robbed a victim at gunpoint on July 26 in the 5100 block of Bellaire Blvd.
While the victim was providing details of the incident, officers located a vehicle matching the description of the vehicle abandoned in moving lanes of traffic in the 5900 block of IH 610 East Service Road.
Police received another call about an armed robbery that had occurred in the 4500 block of Pin Oak Lane, about two blocks from the abandoned vehicle. The male suspects had robbed another victim at gun point.
Police set up a perimeter and were able to arrest both suspects.
The Houston Police Department assisted with K-9 units and helicopter coverage.
