Unknown Person Throws Pumpkin At West U Resident’s Vehicle, Causes $1,000 In Damage

October 29, 2010 by Essentials Staff Leave a Comment

An unknown person threw a pumpkin at a West U resident's vehicle on Oct. 23.
A West U resident had a pumpkin come through the window of their parked vehicle in the 3300 block of Amherst on Oct. 23.
Police believe someone may have thrown the pumpkin from a moving vehicle because there was pumpkin debris on the dashboard. It entered through the back window.
The damage to the resident’s 2002 white Ford explorer was about $1,000, police said.
Police are encouraging residents to keep a look out this weekend and to make sure pumpkins are not accessible to passers-by.
Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the West U Police Department at 713-668-0330.
