West U City Council Approves First Reading Of 2011 Fee Schedule

West U City Council approved the first reading of its 2011 fee schedule, during its Monday night meeting.
During the annual budget process, city staff reviews and makes recommendations regarding fees and charges. Council approved its 2011 budget on Oct. 25. Staff recommended that council approve the first reading of the proposed fee schedule for the 2011 fiscal year. Council will have to approve a second reading for the fee schedule to take effect.
Some of the proposed fees include changes to Colonial Park Pool and the Recreation Center.
All West U residents 65 and older and all residents with a disability exemption will have free membership to Colonial Park Pool and the Rec. Center.
Colonial Park Pool Rates:
• An individual season pass for Memorial Day through Labor Day is $75.
• A couple’s season pass from Memorial Day through Labor Day is $110.
• A family season pass from Memorial Day through Labor Day is $175.
Combined Rates For Colonial Park Pool and Rec. Center:
• An individual membership is $250.
• A couple’s membership is $350.
• A family membership is $470.
Recreation Center Rates:
• An individual resident pass to the Rec. Center for the year is $180.
• A couple’s pass is $240.
• A family pass is $300.
