Council will hold its first tax rate public hearing tonight at 6:30 p.m.
During tonight’s public hearing at 6:30 p.m., West U City Council will hear from residents regarding the proposed tax rate.
This is the first of two public hearings that will be held regarding the proposed tax rate of $.38005 per $100 valuation. The second public hearing will be held on Oct. 18 at 6:30 p.m.
Council approved a resolution proposing the tax rate during its Sept. 13 meeting. The amount of taxes a resident will pay depends on the value of the home.
Last year’s total tax rate was $.35875 per $100 valuation.
Council will meet at 6:30 p.m. in the council chambers, 3800 University Blvd.
