West U. City Council will meet at 6:30 p.m. tonight in Council Chambers, 3800 University Blvd.
Agenda items include a resolution creating an Employee Benefits Trust, with council members as trustees, and authorizing council to purchase insurance on behalf of employees. Council will also vote on moving transferring funds from city to the Employee Benefits Trust to pay for employees’ benefits.
Council will also consider the approval of expenditures for Weslayan pavement repairs, and ratifying the contract with Total Contracting LTD.
Council will discuss the proposal from the Parks and Recreation Board for renovations to the West U. Recreation Center, Colonial Park and the Community/Senior Center. Council will hold a 5 p.m. meeting in the conference room to discuss the proposals as well.
Also on the agenda is the consideration of a contract with MCCi to install records management software and provide training and support to the City Secretary Thelma Lenz.
