Champion Energy provided educational materials, printed on recycled paper, that provided hints for conserving energy at home, student tips for partnering with the planet and hands-on activities, along with seed paper bookmarks that can be planted to grow Black-eyed Susan wildflowers.
Worksheets were also provided to allow students to calculate their carbon footprints. West U Elementary administrators, teachers and custodial staff wore Champion Energy-sponsored Earth Day tee shirts to further promote recognition of Earth Day’s 40th celebration.
Garden clubs, schools, libraries and other organizations interested in obtaining seed paper bookmarks or seed paper planting scraps should e-mail bookmarks@championenergyservices.com.
