West U Elementary Auction Committee Gets Ready For Upcoming Fund-Raiser

Although the hallways at West U Elementary are relatively quiet, the school’s auction committee is working full-speed ahead for the fall auction fund-raiser.
Spearheaded by event co-chairs Linette Courtney, Julie Jackson, Sherri Sinor and Tara Wuthrich, “Rock the Night Away” is being held Nov. 6 at Minute Maid Park.
The event will feature a silent auction, big board bidding, dinner and dancing to the tunes of the Spazmatics.
The auction committee is currently seeking donations from school families, friends and area businesses for the silent auction and big board, including airplane tickets, vacation home accommodations, trips, hotel packages, gift certificates, spa services, children and adult parties, sports memorabilia, home décor and accessories and more.

Proceeds from the event will help fund a range of curriculum enrichment programs during West U Elementary’s 2010-2011 academic year.
