West U goes the distance in marathon motivation

January 21, 2019 by Charlotte Aguilar

Despite temperatures in the 30s, West University turned out to cheer on runners in the Chevron Houston Marathon Sunday (Jan. 20).

In addition to residents stationed along University Boulevard and Weslayan Street, traditional hoopla included the mayor’s breakfast with notables and city staff at the Municipal Building with the live sounds of West U’s Music Mensches — Dee Dee Dochen, Mike Kahn, Steve Pflugfelder, Bowes Hamill, Chris Brown, Len Trombetta and Jeff Jackson.
