West U Police Arrest Drivers For Driving While License Invalid

September 10, 2010 by Essentials Staff Leave a Comment

West U police made two arrests for driving while license invalid on Sept. 1.
Anthony Sam, a 32-year-old San Antonio resident, was pulled over in the 3100 block of Rice for driving with a defective license plate light.
During the traffic stop, Sam was found to be driving with a suspended license and no insurance.
Sam’s passenger also had an invalid driver’s license so he called a friend to pick him up and take possession of the vehicle, police said.
When the friend arrived, she was found to be driving with an invalid license and she had an outstanding warrant with Harris County Precinct 1 for no insurance.
She also still did not have insurance on the vehicle she was driving, police said.
Alicia Thompson, a 25-year-old Houston resident, was arrested for driving while license invalid and the outstanding warrant.
Sam and Thompson were both transported to Harris County Jail.
