West U police arrested a 29-year-old Houston resident on Aug. 18 for driving while license invalid.
Police found Elias Perez working under the hood of a disabled vehicle in the 5900 block of Sewanee, blocking the roadway.
Perez was trying to get a 1995 Honda to start and as police approached, he got the car started and drove away, police said.
Police said they pulled Perez over to make sure everything was OK.
During the traffic stop, the officer found Perez to be driving without a driver’s license.
His license was found to be suspended because of a failure to appear warrant. He had a history of driving with a suspended license, police said.
