West U police arrested a 30-year-old Houston resident on Nov. 16 for possession of marijuana.
Police pulled a vehicle over in the 6500 block of Buffalo Speedway for driving without a front license plate and no rear license plate light.
During the traffic stop, the officer could detect the odor of marijuana.
The driver, Kelvin Randall, told the officer that he hadn’t smoked marijuana today, police said.
During a search of the vehicle, police found 9 grams of marijuana in a clear baggie in the center console of the vehicle.
Randall was arrested and transported to Harris County Jail.
On Nov. 18, Brian Pate, a 21-year-old Pasadena resident, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance.
Police received a call from a witness about a reckless driver in the 6700 block of Buffalo Speedway.
When police investigated, they found that Pate was having an argument with his girlfriend and started chasing her car south on Buffalo Speedway.
During a traffic stop on Pate’s vehicle, police found a glass pipe in his pocket, a small glass jar in the center console with marijuana residue and a pill bottle containing five hydrocodone pills.
Pate was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and was transported to Harris County Jail.
