West U Police Report

West U Police arrested a suspect who was inside a motor vehicle during an attempted burglary on Wednesday. Officers went to the 3400 block of Robinhood, and located the man inside a vehicle which did not belong to him. He was arrested for burglary of a motor vehicle. The suspect has a prior arrest history that includes burglary of a motor vehicle, theft, prostitution and drug possession.
On Tuesday, a West U officer observed a truck traveling at a speech of 51 mph in the 35 mph speed zone in the 4200 block of Bissonnet. After a traffic stop in the 5800 block of Community, the driver was arrested for driving while his license was invalid.
On Thursday, another driver was arrested for driving with a suspended license in the 3100 block of Albans. A West U officer observed the driver disregard a stop sign at the intersection of Belmont and Rice. After a traffic stop, the driver was arrested.
It was a very quiet week in West University Place, with the police department reporting that no crimes were reported on Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Friday.
